A common complaint I get from clients is that when they use Google Site Kit and Google Web stories plugins they cannot see their web stories analytics. The common wisdom is to create a whole separate property which is not necessary below are the steps on how they work together.
Setup Analytics and Web Stories
- Install Google Site Kit
- Configure Google Analytics
- Install Google Web Stories
- Site Kit should auto setup analytics for you.
- Publish some stories.
View your Analytics
- Navigate to https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/
- Click on your property
- Select Behavior
- Events
- Top Events
- Events
Your web stories analytics are available there. You can click on an individual story for more information on the progress and completions.
